The Vancouver Romanian Association is proud to offer two $500 scholarships awarded in August of every year to a student enrolled in a post-secondary program. The scholarship’s inaugural year is 2013 is initiated with the one year anniversary of the association.

Scholarship Program Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, the applicant must be of Romanian heritage and be enrolled in a post-secondary education program. For example, the applicant must be a student in at least a university (i.e. UBC, SFU), college (VCC, Capilano University, Douglas College) or technical institution (BCIT).

Preference will be given to the applicants who demonstrate involvement in their community. For example, the applicants can demonstrate involvement by being a volunteer with a non-profit organization (i.e. VRA, BCSPCA, David Suzuki Foundation, Big Brothers, etc.)

Application Deadline

To be considered for our scholarship program, all applications and all required attachments must be received no later than June 30, 2016.
